Receipt Template Fields

A Receipt Template defines what a receipt .pdf looks like. Two sample templates (English and French) are created when the app is installed. Templates are edited in the template editor, and chosen in Receipt Settings, on Receipting Accounts, or on individual gifts. See Templates and Merge Fields.

How to read the field tables: the Field column shows the label you see on screen, with the field's API name (the name used by admins, reports and integrations) underneath it. The Data Type column uses Salesforce's own terms. A type that starts with "Formula" is calculated automatically and can't be edited.

Content and Layout

Field	Data Type	Purpose
Content dryad__Content__c	Long Text Area	The body of the template: formatted text with merge fields such as {!dryad__Receipt__c.dryad__Donor_Name__c}, which are replaced with the receipt's values.
Filename dryad__Filename__c	Text	The name given to each .pdf file created from this template. It can include merge fields, for example the receipt # and issue date.
Page Size dryad__Page_Size__c	Picklist	The paper size of the .pdf: "Letter", "Legal" or "A4". "Letter" is used if it's blank.
Page Margin (px) dryad__Page_Margin__c	Number	The blank margin around each page, in pixels. 50 is used if it's blank.

Management

Active dryad__Active__c	Checkbox	Only templates with Active ticked can be picked in Receipt Settings and on Receipting Accounts.
Description dryad__Description__c	Text Area	Notes about the template, such as when to use it.
Name and Description dryad__Name_and_Description__c	Formula (Text)	The template's name followed by its description. Shown in template pick lists so you can tell similar templates apart.
